Description:
|
This mansion was once home to Major David Graham. He was a civil war Major, and fought on the side of the confederacy. As were many others in that era, major Graham was a slaveholder. Rumors exist that he was less than kind to them. The stories are far more frightening that the actual paranormal phenomena, but these occurances are abundant. When near the home or in it, you encounter cold spots, hear strange noises, objects move by themselves, and have feelings of dread, despair, panic, and nausea.
Several EVP's have been recorded here by the Virginia Paranormal Society, and are available to listen to on their website. Because it is so active, they also use it to train new investigators.
This home is in major disrepair, and although it was purchased a few years ago by an individual, it has not been worked on or renovated. There is an annual music festival held on the grounds as well as ghost tours. Individuals may contact the VPS for information regarding a private tour.
